I worked at Judicial Branch of California full-time (More than 8 years)

Jobs here are stable, some of the programs they work on do a lot of good, vacation is plentiful and the hours are generally predictable. The pension you can accumulate is valuable, but you have to be here for 5+ years.

Unless you're an attorney there is little opportunity for growth. And even if you are, this is not a place for ambitious people. Morale has been low for many years, the only people who are happy working here are those near retirement. The office is stuffy and the environment is very boring. And while the pension and vacation benefits are nice, day-to-day benefits like coffee in the break room are nonexistent. Employees have to pay for coffee and filtered water.

    Advice to Management

Hire better leaders and genuinely look out for your employees.
