It used to be a very cool place to work when the old management team was still there, but new mgmt leaders are idiots

I have been working at Kaboodle

    Pros

A good place to start your career in a social website, and it still has that start-up attitude and not corporate at all like big companies. Very flexible in working hours as long as you get the jobs done. It would be good for new grads to start their their first job to gain job experiences. It used to be a fun place to work and most people are fun to work with.

    Cons

Since the founders left in Aug 2010, the whole company started turning into chaos. With the new CEO who is not familiar in the web world at all (she used to be a sales person), she had made many poor decisions, many people who have been working in Kaboodle for years with great talent and experiences had left the company. The worst thing is that we never able to hire replacements to replace these talented people, including creative director, UI designer, CMO, VP of Product, Engineering directors, VP of Engineering, Program managers, advertising managers, etc...you name it. As a result, instead of bringing in good replacements, we brought in idiots into the new management team. (Except for one VP who works really hard and everybody under his team loves him) One of the leaders doesn't do anything for the team and doesn't contribute at all to Kaboodle but we pay so much money to this individual. This individual has one of the best jobs in the world, in which working from home regularly is acceptable. I feel sad for Kaboodle because it used to be one of the greatest places to work for and now it is going downhill like this.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No advices for the idiots. My best advice for them is leave Kaboodle in order to save the company. (Except one person who leads the biggest team)
