    I worked at Kansas City Chiefs as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

    The Kansas City Chiefs offer undergraduate interns the opportunity to see how the non-football side of an NFL franchise is run. In my time there, I was given the opportunity to make meaningful contributions, through various autonomous projects, to my department. I also forged relationships and connections with everyone in my department. While the experience of working in an office environment is valuable, these relationships were the real gem of this internship opportunity. There is a great HR department and a well-established intern program. You can make what you want of the intern camaraderie- you can certainly be friends with the other interns, or if you're more independent you won't be made uncomfortable.

    Cons

    The internships are unpaid and only for college credit. Also, if you are hoping to do any kind of meaningful on-field operations-related work/analysis as an intern, think again. An internship for the Chiefs is largely exactly the same as it would be at another corporation, except this company's product is football. This reality manifests itself in various ways throughout the internship, however the

    I would offer a more rotational internship program/option. I was told that the opportunities existed for me to see other departments, but this never actually seemed easily accessible/achievable.
