I have been working at Karl Storz Endoscopy (More than 10 years)
Karl Storz is a very family oriented company. I love the fact that the company is very strong and prides itself on helping others...Also. if you are in the correct department with a degree the sky is AlMOST the limit for you until you hit that GLASS CELE LING.
One of Karl Storz biggest challenges, is that they have very poor management teams. They do not believe in promoting from with in if you are not the right race. They re consistently hiring unqualified mangers on top and creating new director positions which are being filled from the outside, therefore, limiting the growth for people that have tenure and have been faithful to the company. The company has been in Los Angeles since 1971 and they do not have an African American or Hispanic director. BUT, yet the company is made up of about 70% minorities if not more.
Advice to Management
A good manager trains, educates, and promotes from within.. Your staff is a reflection of you. If you cant promote your staff to the next level, whether it is in your department or someone else's then your not doing your job!
