I have been working at Kellogg Company full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good international exposure and a great opportunity to use knowledge of other languages. Supporting internal customers in their activities is challenging and interesting.

    Cons

Expectation is to work overtime but no recognition is given. Line managers vary in their professionalism hugely and some will try to intimidate and belittle staff when errors are made, often without any willingness to understand underlying issues that staff may be experiencing. Progression is awarded on the basis of perception and often also due to friendliness towards certain managers, rather than merit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managers should attend regular training courses to ensure their management of staff is positive, motivating and effective. Experienced staff should have their achievements recognised and opportunities to progress (or at least work shadow) should be equal for all. Managers should also listen more to staff and value their opinions.
