    Pros

The opportunities in the company, they prefer to hire from within.

    Cons

The facility does not have the freedom to make its own decisions, the facility is very micro-managed. 'Everyone" knows that each facility is very unique and corporate should be able to take this into account when making decisions on how to run it. Employees, from housekeeping to management, should be heard and opinions should be taken very seriously. These are the people who are actually in the day to day running of the facility; who know what is best for the patients and staff. (Some) Corporate and (some) senior management people are very quick to point out what is wrong/ what has not been done, but very slow to commend staff on their efforts. They come in like they are god, no smiles or words of encouragement. The staff comment on this all the time, and they wonder why they are still there----and they answer their own question----they love their patients and the people they work "with".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They really need to go and watch the video they require staff to see, Kindred Integrity Everyday. This business they are talking of, taking care of people is really just a business, and not about "taking care of people".
What it comes down to is the $$$$$$$, why is it that your employees are unhappy? Take a good long look and listen to them. They want to do the right thing for the patients, but lack of support and supplies are not conducive to good care.
As to the question below: I don't know that Paul Diaz knows how his corporate team is leading his centers. If he approves of their tactics, then he/they must be working for the devil as they are continuing to grow and make money without regard for their "minions", they have no heart.
