I have been working at Kiwanis

    Pros

Employee cookouts and other social perks; regular technology upgrades; central location (northside near Pyramids); semi-flexible work hours depending on the department; nice auditorium for large meetings; small unofficial intern program; impressive range of services provided to customers makes it an interesting place to work.

    Cons

Non-management pay seems low even for a nonprofit; if you don't get the compensation you really want coming in the door, do not expect to make up for it quickly with raises; membership service organizations are decreasing in size so there is worry about how far membership will drop before right-sizing is needed; departmental silos exist; low morale in some departments; parking lot crime on the rise in the immediate area.
