I worked at Kneaders Bakery & Cafe full-time for less than a year

The food was good, fun coworkers

I honestly don't know where to start. Health code violations abound. No breaks. Seriously, it doesn't matter if you feel like you are going to die, no breaks for you. Management is super unprofessional and just hide in the office instead of working. They also are very mean and gossipy, it was easily more gossipy than a high school. Ask them how your performance is and they will tell you how great you are, then behind your back tell everyone you are terrible. Good luck getting a time off request honored, especially if one of the managers happens to want the same day off. Or if you are sick, be prepared to come in anyway. Doesn't matter if it's the flu, food poisoning, you get to come in. They also run with a very bare-bones staff at all times so be prepared to feel completely overwhelmed all of the time. Management also would find people that were hard-workers and take complete advantage of them, work them to the bone, and then still talk about how terrible they are. Work conditions were terrible. I've never had a job that asked for so much of me, paid so little, and criticized me the whole time. I was easily one of their most valuable employees. Always on time, worked very hard, gave them very little issue, rarely asked for any time off, did everything they asked, and when I quit they did everything they could to harass me. Not cool. People would constantly quit on the spot due to poor treatment. I've never seen that as much at any other job but that seemed to be the only reasonable way to quit at Kneaders

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire the upper-management. They are abusive, manipulative, lazy, and mean
