    Pros

There are some great people here who want and expect great work.

    Cons

So many things. Nepotism probably ranks top here. You've got 4 kids working for 3 of the partners, 3 of which are accountants. 2 of those accountants work directly for their parents. The non-accountant is her daddy's EA. None of the other partners HAVE EAs.

They have people in management positions who have no business managing staff. Not much experience in niche areas. People (some of mgmt) treat staff like crap. No feedback is ever given - if it was, it was NOT constructive criticism. Quite a bit behind the back bashing while praising them to their faces - so much for the 'oh-so-friendly' place to work. One partner here likes to stir things up rather than resolve things quietly. Reviews are not conducive to a person's growth in their career.

Office space is kind of a dump for a professional firm (in particular, carpets look disgusting).

Most firms want you to FEEL at home, as you spend a lot of time in those four walls. This place however, doesn't like it when you socialize. Not socialize as in spending 30 minutes chitchatting and wasting time, I mean a simple 'hi how was your weekend' is rarely heard. People in general don't talk to each other, and those that would are too scared to rock the boat.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a hard look at your so-called people who are in management positions - some don't have the technical skills to be where they are. Firm culture is horrible - and things need to change from the top down.
