I worked at Kum & Go full-time (More than a year)
Okay pay, sometimes friendly customers, loved the regulars, close to home, nothing else really!
General manager didn't like showing up on time. Coworkers never ever do actual work. One person does all, (mostly night workers). Unnecessary rude customers. District Manager doesn't care about the workers. Lomg shifts by yourself, no breaks, barley can eat if in a busy area. Nasty place when started! And on top of that coworkers, and even management steals food/drinks.
Advice to Management
Don't leave one person to do all of the work! Hire actual workers that will WORK! Have reliable workers! If one cannot show up for their overnight shift (because hungover) don't MAKE your 12 pm to 11 pm worker stay till 8 am to come back that same day at 12 pm. Actually be a manager and find someone to cover the shift, or even yourself. One person should not be the only person keeping the store clean, stocked, and organized.
