I have been working at L-3 Communications full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

They hire a lot of people straight out of college. The starting pay and benefits are very competitive. Sign on bonus was decent. Company matches 5 percent in 401k. 3 weeks of paid time off. 4 weeks after 5 years. The company has a lot of youth. The people are great. There is an onsite gym and cafeteria.

    Cons

Location isn't very good. Greenville, TX doesn't have much to offer. It's about an hour from Dallas. The annual raises don't cover cost of living increases. There is not much room for growth. The upper management is mostly older with a lot of youth at the lower levels. There is quite a bit of turnover with the young people leaving for better pay elsewhere after a couple years. They tend to short staff projects and overwork good employees leading to burnout.
