    I worked at L-3 Communications

    Pros

    In regards to PTO and holidays, the company is very flexible. Health benefits match industry averages. Senior management provides lowew-level employees with a lot of independence and freedom to not only accomplish duties and tasks, but to also pursue projects which benefit the client. Employees are very nice and more than willing to assist new employees and bring them up to speed.

    Cons

    Annual salary is low as compared to those of our competitors. Annual raises are low (1-3%), bonuses are hardly ever given out, and there is little room for professional growth/career advancement. The company pay schedule still revolves around the length of time you have been at the company and not focused on the quality of your work. Also, low compensation builds low employee morale and resentment, which leads to defensive salary-matching scheme.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pursue contracts with interesting work that are not only exciting, but also spark the creativitiy and ambition of your employees to accomplish great things.
