Deceptive, manipulative, lying backstabbers. DO NOT work for them!

    I worked at Lakeshore

    Pros

Insanely high turnover, so if you interview, you'll most likely get the job.
Working with kids is nice sometimes

    Cons

    -Disorganized corporate structure
    -Outdated and inefficient operations
    -Rampant cronyism and favoritism
-They will fire even seasoned management for ONE customer complaint
    -Politics trumps performance EVERY time
    -Insultingly low pay
-Say goodbye to your family, as you will be working late through every holiday that matters
-Products are so overpriced that you cannot sell them with a clean conscience
    -Career stifling dead end!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make your store managers clock in AND out. Many are ripping you off very badly, working sometimes only 20 hour weeks. Increase your pay to at least a little bit above laughable. Get email and computers in the stores. It is embarrassing for you that you still do not have either of these. Stop 'spying' on everyone that works for you, as it obliterates morale and any respect employees have for you. Recognize performance over politics. You are all apparently very easily swayed by personality over ability.
