I worked at Landon SchoolPros
flexible schedule, freedom to design own courses, freedom to start any initiative you want, can apply for summer research grants, faculty housing option (free or reduced) are good options. I had a great peer support group; most colleagues were open and positiveCons
The lack of structure can be overwhelming at times. As a new teacher, it is good to be in control of your curriculum, class, and schedule (to a large extent), but at times you might feel like you are overextended and others are coasting. The structure of the Upper School also encourages a 'just enough' attitude, though the relationships with colleagues and students are top notch. Must coach a sport and these 'loads' are not flexible.Advice to ManagementAdvice
