I worked at LarsonAllen full-time (More than a year)
Given many responsibilities, even as intern or level 1 staff. Diverse group of coworkers. Trusts employees; does not look over your shoulder while you work.
Competitive environment that requires you to match your peers time and effort, whether or not you are a workaholic as well. Poor work/life balance; noticed many middle aged coworkers did not have time for families or outside interests. Didn't have enough time to volunteer outside of work. Some managers are great but others who are in high levels of responsibility are still acting like they are in college, partying with younger coworkers.
Advice to Management
Loosen up on the competitive requirements. Why should I work 70 hours just because my coworker, who has no personal life, does? More flexibility with time off. We had to use a whole day of PTO if we had to go home part way through the day due to illness or a doctors appointment.
