I have been working at Left Bank Brasserie part-time (more than 3 years)

-A lot can be made in tips if you're able and willing to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
-The fellow staff are great. The best part of working there are the relationships built with coworkers.
-Requested time off is almost always granted.

-Frustration can occur due to poor management and not being set up for success. A lot of the blame gets put on the servers, bartenders, and hosts for issues that are out of our control and that we can't fix on our own. It promotes a feeling of helplessness and feeling unsupported.
-Rude and overly-demanding customers (might be a function of the location on Santana Row)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Set up the staff for success. It makes it impossible to achieve customer satisfaction when service lags due to issues like searching for glassware and silverware or when we are overbooked and understaffed.

The management team needs to work as a cohesive unit with clear expectations and better organization and communication.
