I have been working at Leidos full-time (more than an year)

There are some really good, smart people working here and you get a paycheck every two weeks. The option to telecommute is nice.

There really doesn't appear to be any sound plans for the future. Instead of changing what doesn't work for the company after a bad quarter they have a workforce reduction. Talk of outsourcing employees is causing a lot of tension and a "jump ship" environment. Management focuses too much on numbers and forget that humans work for them, not robots. Senior leadership seems disconnected from the workers and shows no appreciation for the people that are left. If you don't work in Reston, you don't exist.

There is no opportunity for advancement unless you know somebody or are related to somebody with more authority than you. Training is a foreign word, but you are still expected to do the job as though you were trained.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend less time rewarding executive management for bad business decisions. Invest the companies money in the employees instead of putting the company name on a soccer jersey.
