I have been working at Levi Strauss full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

They give you plenty of time to train and get up to speed with required amount of throws per shift.
Weekend shift gives you 4 days off 3 on and if there is actually work to be done you get 36 hours a week.
Very easy job IF everything is running the way it should.

    Cons

    Lack of work and hours.
A point system that reminds me of grade school.
Machines constantly breaking down and it counting against your total throws for the shift without a thought from management.
Manager/HR numbers take you straight to voicemail and I have yet to ever receive a return call from them, so no communication.
If you ever quit/walk out from this job...be sure to get a date of termination in writing otherwise you may still be counted as employed if your manager does not feel like getting around to updating his/her paperwork...still waiting on that 3 weeks from my last day there.
    Union, need I say more?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I am not sure if the Hebron, Ky facility is an example of the other Levi and Strauss operations but if it is...take a look at lower management and make sure they are not causing undue stress and tension to the workers underneath them. The only reason I quit was because no matter how hard or fast I worked, the downtime due to machines and other issues would throw all my efforts down the drain for my average throws for that shift. I worked at FedEx Ground for 5 years and 4 Peak Seasons, never had a problem reaching and exceeding my numbers and I enjoyed the work, hard as it was. There is no reason someone making such low pay, single digits per hour, should have the stress of management paid positions. If that dark spot of Levi and Strauss would be cleaned/cleared up I would recommend others to work for this company, but until then, I could not sleep at night if I lied and said this was a great place to work...

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
