    I worked at Lifelong AIDS Alliance full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Agency had a lot of potential, esp with the advent of ACA to make great gains for clients. Managed to do a lot for clients and the community at large on tight budget constraints. Management, while limited in training, made good strides to make working there vital and rewarding.

    Cons

    Service centers of the organization had too much influence over core, mission driven programs. While every employee was eager to assist clients, very few were ever happy working there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire people with actaul leadership AND management skills to navigate difficult cross-roads for the organization.
