I have been working at LiquidHub as a contractor (less than a year)

None that I know of at this time. Of the handful of changes made due to the acquirement, none have been positive. If there are any pros, no one has told me about them.

Disorganized. Communication and process is non-existent or confusing. I had a Client assignment before I was acquired, so my contact with them has been pretty limited to just submitting hours and getting paid. Even that is disorganized:

They are strict about submitting time sheets every week via an outdated Netsuite system. They have this silly rule that weekly timesheets have to add up to 40 hours. So if you have a week where you put in less than 40 billable hours, you have to submit another line item for the week of "Time Off" and then distribute the time off hours (and then the required description field, and work location field for each day) over the week. It's annoying and seems to encourage padding of hours. I don't think Clients would be happy if they knew that it was easier for their contractor to submit timesheets with their hours rounded up to 40 rather than be honest.

The worst thing is even though I'm required to allow a full 30 days for payment of invoices, I don't receive my payments on time! You'd think that 30 days would be enough time to verify all those weekly timesheets and send out a check, but no, I don't always get paid on time. It's almost funny that they are so strict about weekly timesheets being sent on time (probably so they can hurry and bill the Client), but when they receive an invoice from me, there is no hurry to send me payment on time. It's ALMOST funny, but it's really not when we're talking about my livelihood here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop getting in the way of your contractors. If I wanted to be subject to inefficient processes and confusing communication, I'd be a full-time employee. PAY YOUR CONTRACTORS ON TIME! If I was OK with not getting paid on time, I'd work with Clients directly.

You're probably acquiring so much because you can't attract good quality individuals on your own. If you keep making the individuals you've acquired do stupid stuff - and you don't pay them - you will not keep them.
