I have been working at LocalEdge

    Pros

This career has been amazing for me both financially and personally. Never have I worked for a company that offered such lucritive bonus incentives, management support, and opportunities for further advancement within a position. I feel, in my current postition, that the more effort I put in, the more I am able to succeed and excel. In turn, this makes me work to my full potential and strive to do even more. This position is excellent for my competitive nature, and things like leaderboards and competitions give me increased motivation to surpass any obstacles I may encounter. I am able to support my family very well and have never been able to earm more incentives than I do now. From gift cards to electronics to trips it is all possible if you simply put forth the effort. I have been with the company less than 2 years and will surpass the $140,000 mark this year. I fully expect to increase that next year. Where else can you work for a company where you can make in the mid six figures in your second year while also earning other forms of recognition and praise. Again all you have to do is the complete job, what you're hired for.

    Cons

Although they are few and far between, I have encountered a few very common cons; though they are unavoidable and there is no quick fix. When you are considered a leader, you become a victim of your own success. As much weight as you think you can pull can never be enough, as you become responsible for making up the areas where others are lacking. Relating to that, being at the top makes it difficult to have many work friendships, as people are generally not as friendly as they would be if you were only a mediocre member of the team. Also, when people are used to you exceeding expectations, recognition is hard to come by, as when you are consisitent the leadership becomes an expectation instead of an anomoly. This has happened in almost all of my past postions, and I have found is simply part of being good at your job. Too many people posting no sales or low sales which puts the pressure on the good sellers. If you want water, don't go to the desert... Maybe just removing the "desert" a tad quicker would help the consistent high sellers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To me, if would be beneficial to have the ability to do my job the way I know I can do it, with full trust and encouragement from my managers. As a top seller, management knows I can do it and the confidence in me and my abilities would go a long way. Have 100% trust in me, of others don't sell or are caught doing something they shouldn't, don't bring it down on me. Don't include me in that class. Don't micromanage your top salespeople because of your outliers. Know that I am out there busting my butt every day and that the motivation I have is the $ I will make to feed and support my family. Trust in me and I will in you. Otherwise, simply keep up the amazing work; your knowledge and understanding of the job knows no bounds.
