    I have been working at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Great benefits\ potential for lots of OT\ schedule up 1 mo. In advance.
    24hr\7 day week inpt. Pharmacy only. No outpt. RX's. Lots of different shifts.
    Hospital under expansion. Use Pyxis med. Automation on RN floors. No tech order entry allowed. Low turn over of staff pharmacists. High turnover RX Director as well as hosp. CEO.

    Cons

    High turnover RX Directors. Current director very weak. No appreciation from director or hospital admin. Always in the process of change at the worst times of year. Process improve..during flu season such as Thanksgiving &Christmas. Adding more & more responsibilities with no increase of pay. Hospital has a union. Promotes laziness and milking jobs. The hard working get overlooked and frustrated. Higher inexperienced techs & expect those already doing double to train with no relief to do their own work. COmmunication is poor. Have worker's comp. Injured techs still working in dept. Against hospital policy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Need weekly staff meetngs with Technical staff. Not just RPhs. Need to control out of control techs that create drama amongst staff. Cut out the trouble makers. There are many excellent hospital techs that have excellent work ethic, keep to task and keep their mouths closed. Cut out techs that are doing everything they can to call the union for retribution and personal gain...hurts entire dept.morale. Get tough, follow thru. Act immediately. Do not wait.
