I have been working at Loving Care Agency

    Pros

Working independently. If monetary compensation isn't what you are looking for then this is the place to work! Most of the families are in great need of nursing services and are very greatful to have the help.

    Cons

Little to no communication between office and field staff, even if a shift has been cancelled! Low wages, deceitful to get you in the door then things start to "come up" after they think they have you. Field staff foot the bill for mailing in paperwork to office (you don't get paid until the office receives the paperwork for each individual shift). Little to no incentive offered to pick up extra shifts but you are almost expected to do so, their idea of a "raise" is for you to pick up overtime...but said overtime needs to be mailed into office where I have never seen overtime payments come out of. Will only pay RN's $10/hour for orientation. No compensation for milage. Expect nurses to work with very medically fragile children by yourself in a home for around $20.00 an hour. Not their nursing licese on the line is it? Changes such as orders or med sheet corrections do not seem to be a high priority for the office to correct so you are continually correcting the same things over and over. Very high insurance premiums. No new technology...all paper charting. Should I go on?
