    Pros

    Positive work environment with outgoing and helpful coworkers and simple and straightforward duties.

    Cons

    Hiring and screening of upper management leaves much to be desired. Experience varies store to store dependent on the quality, knowledge and training of store management. No outside access to schedule or emails causing issues with last minute changes and notifications. Overall technology at use is outdated and inefficient in both day to day use and training. Part-time hours minimum of 10 hours is ridiculous and ineffective when store staff is kept at a bare minimum.

    Advice to Management

    Limit hiring into store management to experienced Lowe's employees to promote consistency across all stores in the interpretation and application of company policies, knowledge of individual departments, and a streamlined relationship with other employees. Make use of the knowledge and experienced found in veteran employees especially in regard to adequate training of management associates. Focus on outlining a thorough, guided training program to support and promote advancement from within so as to fuel a strong and loyal employee base. Address the issues of stores and managers putting sales and profit before employee support and relations; a business that depends on effective employees should not ignore the needs of said employees as it reflects in customer service and satisfaction. Stores should not be rewarded solely for achieving top sales and low payroll with no regard for the corners cut to achieve those goals.
