You get a lot of incentive programs and the job itself is a breeze once you learn your department. Depending on your location you will stay busy your entire shift. Rather it be stocking, assisting customers, helping other department, or pulling orders. You can bet that you will feel fulfilled in a days work.
The people you work with can bring you down. I had managers who played favoritism with a lot of employees. I also experience people who gossip about you constantly. I even had a manager pat me down because he thought I had a cell phone in my pocket (which I didn't) and that is against the rules. I won't say the entire company is to blame. I feel that maybe my store was the most extreme of it. The alternating shifts can get pretty hectic to schedule around.
Advice to Management
Treat all people equally and don't listen to gossip. It can make working there an uncomfortable and hostile environment.
