Former Employee - Teacher in Lynchburg, VA

I worked at Lynchburg City VA Public Schools full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Location was close to home; great programs in certain schools. Worked with great caring faculty and staff overall!

    Cons

Not room for much personal growth...Lack of parental involvement and support and also lack of follow through with administration.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would say to take care of your employees and seek for excellence in administration, management, and teachers. The classroom management issue is too much with disrespect. There needs to be a better way to handle the misbehavior with inappropriate conduct that often occurs outside the classroom.
