    solid company as a whole that continues to thrive, CEO has done great things for the retail side, In IT most managers allow flex time schedule (begin/end hours), summer hours program (leave early on Fridays during summer), great people, laid back environment, diverse,


    Unlike most IT divisions, there is no work from home (unless you are sick or it benefits them), highly political, business controls decisions, extreme micromanaging from VP level down, no bonuses, low raise, hard to advance, management cares more about metrics than quality, management in constant conflict with each other, CYA mentality throughout, PMs are highly paid administrative assistance - completely under utilized, low morale employees do not feel appreciated, promotion is extremely hard and based on who management likes and not necessarily their skills.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Bring in fresh management. Revamp PMO, not sure what they even do, PMs are completely under utilized and are not in touch with what project managers role should be. Train Managers on how to best utilize PMs . Listen to employees, work on training and employee appreciation. Even though the company continues to thrive and people continue to work there, you are losing great quality people and only keeping the ones who just don't care anymore. Thus producing poor quality.
