    I have been working at Mancini Duffy full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Young, creative, dynamic work environment. The company has LEED earning incentives and frequent CE classes and luncheons for free. Company has typical social functions year round. Great ambience to grow in your career socially and design knowlegde.

    Cons

    Competitive, extranueous, and stressful environment to work for designers, project managers, and principals. Raises and bonus are not easily obtained and lack of career advancement. Basically if you are hired as a drafter, project manager, etc and you work for the company for years any higher position openings are not offered or given to current employees. They prefer to hire outsiders to promote for company. Big down side is the company is run by CFO who is an accountant. Design/architecture firm should not be run by numbers' person, bad business model.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Position responsibilities should not be so narrow. Company would work better if collaborative teams were created, where individual has designated tasks but can help other teammates when other members are overloaded. Large company takes on too much work load causing long days for certain employees or groups.
