I worked at Marinello Schools of Beauty full-time (less than a year)Pros
Decent pay but you're taken advantage of especially working as a receptionist. Depends what campus I guess
Learned a lot.
Made relationship with clients and students to last a lifetime.Cons
If you're mew youre the scapegoat.
They haven't figured out a way to keep students and other employees out of the receptionist area or in the actual books so they mess things up and it gets blamed on you since you're the receptionist.
Gossip and hearsay got my fired. I could sue if I want to. They fired me and I never got written up once. I didn't even get a verbal warning. They don't talk to you they just give you thand boot. I'm hurt because my ciworkers were reporting such blatant lies about my performance I'm glad I don't work there honestly. I got in a car accident and didn't even take the week off my doctor allowed me but got chewed for leaving An hour early when we were closet to the public but other coworkers get away with texting all day taking two hour lunch breaks and even bad help reviews about how rude they are. It's kinda fishy. Seems like they have a pact that management gets to stay but new blood gets fired no matter what. Four people got fired In the one year I was there. All in all: management is shady and takes advantage of the people who actually work. Do not work for this company. They don't care at the end of the day.Advice to ManagementAdvice
Have a little empathy when people have life issues going on. I only called out five times in one year. And if that's a lot I still called which isn't grounds for termination. I got fired without explanation. They try to sugar coat it but they stab u in the back in the end. If you're going to treat your staff like slaves then at least work with then when they have emergencies outside of work. Have empathy. And also they only give negative attention they never applaud for a job well done. The public loved me and theyr angry I'm gone that's all that matters is knowing management let their best receptionist to nDoesn't RecommendPositive Outlook
