Opportunity for advancement and the option of relocation to various cities/states.
Although there is room for advancement, you could do the same job with less stress for a different finance company and be paid much more. Very rarely are you thanked for a 'job well done.' I always felt as though (even though I was working extremely hard to please my manager and upper management) that my best was 'good' but never 'great' or 'good enough' even though our branch results/numbers showed otherwise. Only two weeks paid vacation (for full-time employees) and don't ever expect to take the last week of any month off, or any time in November/December. Days consist of solicitation and collection calls and the customer base is not usually the classiest crowd of people. One of the least fulfilling jobs I have ever had in my life and the stress was not worth the long hours, low pay, and bad attitudes.
Advice to Management
Be more appreciative of your staff as they are the ones doing the majority of the "dirty work" (IE bringing the customers in and helping retain them) and don't set unrealistic goals. I understand that to succeed a company needs to 'set the bar high,' but there is a difference between a realistic yet achievable goal and one that is not attainable at all.
