I have been working at Marriott Vacation Club full-time
Friendly, enthusiastic trainers and supervisors who are always willing to help us improve. If you're struggling with your sales, talk to them and ask for help-- they'll be there for you. The energy among the co-workers and supervisors and managers is great. They try to help as much as they can. Great benefits package, and the possibility to make decent money-- ONLY IF you can build rapport with strangers on the phone, have product knowledge (which means studying outside of work hours), and really know how to SELL.
It's telemarketing, little better than cold-calling. They hire at 'full-time' but it is only 32.5 hours per week. It pays minimum wage hourly, plus commission. While the commission for outbound is decent, it's often hard to make sales. Most of us aren't making our sales budget and are living only the hourly pay, because corporate just raised the quota after their last batch of new-hires. It's just not enough for those of us who are trying to support ourselves and have to travel a great distance to get here.
