I have been working at McDermott full-time (more than an year)

Use this company to gain experience.
Some great people to work with but unfortunately they are becoming fewer

Extremely silo oriented organisation with poor cross communication, one gets the feel staff are protecting their own departments and jobs rather than working for the greater good of the company. Heavy internal administration and procedures cause increases in schedules and costs but you are a good boy if you follow the procedure and not what is best for the jopb at hand.

Recent poor project delivery, which seems to continue, various forays into markets they do not understand, boats, engineering and now lets see what happens to subsea.

Absolutely no loyalty and will hire and fire at will. Tis has caused consternation amongst th eworkforce.
