    I worked at McDonald's full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Got to gain some valuable experience working in real estate finance in one of the larger (Baltimore-Washington) regions in the company. I got to lead several initiatives and was solely responsible for all of the regional real estate analysis for all regional real estate activity.

    Cons

Too many under-educated lifers. Coming up through the ranks is more highly valued than intelligence. Also, favoritism runs rampant. When you work in one of the regional offices, advancement is pretty slim unless you are willing to relocate to Oakbrook, IL and then those opportunities come with limits.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hubris will kill you and stop coddling "influential" owner-operators. Please treat them all equally and fairly.
