I have been working at McDonald's part-time (less than a year)

My manager does a great job of hiring nice people to work with, so I ended up becoming friends with most of my coworkers and hanging out with them outside of work. The work isn't difficult, and you can always move up from a crew member. Plus, it's pretty easy to get hired. The pay depends on how much you want to work, if you're a crew member.

If you cannot deal with rude people, you should reconsider working here. You will encounter new people every day, and you must be versatile enough to deal with all kinds of people. A lot of patience is necessary for this job. The only perk as a crew member is that you get a free meal during your break. There are no other discounts on food.

    Advice to Management

Management really should consider how people could potentially react to a change in food prices, a new food item, or the reduction of a food item before making changes.
