I worked at McDonald's full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Close, everyone knows everyone depending on how long you've been there. Promos may or may not come with a free t-shirt and other merchandise. Very good opportunities to advance. One free meal a day including 50% off 30 minutes before and after your shift. Very laid back. Very good with flexible scheduling. I had a lot of amazing moments here that helped me grow as not only a worker but as a person.

    Cons

Some franchises cheat the good employees out of promotions, raises to give them to the employees that give management info and/or brown nose. Not very much room to advance compared to corporate-owned McDonald's. They will forever go off of your availability from your application when you were hired no matter how long you work there and how much your life changes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR EMPLOYEES. All of them. Not just the ones that like to kiss your butt. A ton of misunderstandings could have been avoided or very quickly resolved if the management at my McDonald's didn't play favorites.
