    Pros

The company CEO cares about the employee opinion survey and takes seriously the results. The information is related top down and concerns are addressed. Really good place to learn and tighten up on skills. Good environment with your co-workers. Great location in different parts of the US. Opportunity to work on global projects.

    Cons

However, implementing changes that improve the situation is not always followed through. Therefore, the mid-level Managers and lower suffer when there is a re-organization. Whereby you have very top heavy and highly paid Directors and above that do not suffer at all. Not a lot of co-department and co-organization changes. The organization works in silo. There is no conformity of how business is done across McKesson as a whole. Depending on your EVP and org President (each business unit has it own President) you can have a great career or not so great experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The CEO vision is not bad - the Presidents and EVPs should run with that vision. Get more of your lower-level employees to help with the change transformation and assign your contractors to facilitate the change not just run up a large consulting bill.
