I worked at McKinsey & Company full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great exposure to a diverse range of industries and cutting edge thinking in many functional areas
Great brand that can open doors and create opportunities for you down the round
    Excellent benefit package
Great people to work with and learn from

    Cons

Pay is ok, not always in line with what is expected of you
Culture is very rigid, there is a McKinsey way to do everything, which can stifle independent thinking
    Micro-management from some inexperienced managers
There is a work for the sake of working undercurrent in the culture, though I think some people learn to fake it as a survival technique
