I worked at MedExpress Urgent Care part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

If you are able to get a schedule that stays consistent and can work around what you're looking for then you probably wouldn't mind the long shifts, otherwise there isn't much good.

    Cons

Was told I could transfer to any other center during my interview, a position came open at a center much closer to my home and was told it wasn't possible for me to transfer. My schedule was awful, if for whatever reason I would ask for one weekend off during a particular month, I was then made to work every other weekend. As just an office worker, being required to work as long hours as the medical staff makes no sense whatsoever. One clinic I worked at, the office staff was required to stay later than the medical staff. The call out policy is insane, part time employees have the same expectations as full time employees which is ridiculous. The pay is far too close to minimum wage, and the only opportunity you have to make more money is to travel to other centers and work more long ridiculous hours and hope for mileage out of it. But once you do work at another center, you are constantly being texted by their employees asking you to work for them. It was by far the worst job I have ever had.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If management is making a profit even with high turnover and cranky problematic employees they won't be apt to change anything anyway.
