You know what you're working for. Inspirational scientists with a real-world impact. Generous holiday allowance. Attempts to work within public sector limitations to make sure staff are properly remunerated.

No positive leadership. Bullying culture from the very top. Poor record of internal promotion and limited opportunities. Unfair practices when it comes to HR with some roles appearing from nowhere with no explanation. Inability to prioritise or allocate resources creates unnecessary stress and contributes to high staff turnover and uncertainty.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat non-scientific staff as professionals and make more of a commitment to their professional development.
