    I worked at Menards as a contractor (more than 8 years)


    The corporate office is very good about promoting from within the company. They recognize success with promotion. The compensation is adequate. I loved the work that I was doing.


    The more you succeed the more they give you responsibility for ... untill they give you so much responsibility that you can no longer perform your job at the corporate office to the high standards you have set for yourself. There are not words to describe the stress that is placed upon you by management at the corporate office. At least 50% of the annual compensation is in delayed management bonuses.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    It is better to have an employee excell and be successful in a few catagories than to have so many categories that they can not excell and be successful at any one of them.
