    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I work within Retirement Admin in Chichester. There are some great people working at Mercer and there are some good development schemes for them, but pay and benefits hugely lag behind competitors. It seems silly that Mercer are a HR and Talent consultancy but are not leading the way when it comes to engaging and rewarding their own employees.

Mercer is very slow to innovate and make decisions. Too many levels of sign off and paperwork make it very frustrating to make positive change. Sign off and paperwork are all in the wrong places as many projects are dashed off without proper thought and planning.

RA UK are losing many of their big clients and there is no recognition that letting talent go to competitors for better pay, and trying to do the same amount of work with less people, is causing this. There is endless focus on growth when really Mercer needs stability most of all, and as a company Mercer UK are certainly not stable at present. There is an overwhelming feeling that the RA ship is not sailing smoothly at all and I hope that senior management make some changes soon before the ship goes under.
