I have been working at Merck full-time

Plenty of resources to support frontier research and diverse experiments as well maintenance of numerous functions that can rapidly support said research.

Slow upward mobility and glass ceilings. Often, if not always, working close to the capacity of our efforts. Insufficient slack in the system to handle normal fluctuations in the work flow.

    Advice to Management

Provide time, that most precious commodity, for employees to breathe and to focus on scientific endeavors not strictly tied to project goals. If offered, this slack should not be taken back up without releasing it back into the system in the short term.
