I worked at Mercy Housing full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Best work is done at the property level, although some site staff are definitely over tasked to complete their work successfully in 40 hours.

    Cons

Leadership changes that lack any type of good transition process increased challenges to an already poor company morale. There are few true hardworking committed leaders, but most don't deserve their title. At all levels, employees are over tasked and are unable to successfully accomplish their work, which has a trickle down effect that impacts the entire organization and partners that try to work with them. Mercy Housing is a non-profit taken over by corporate minded leaders that lack understanding of the people they are trying to serve.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate the good, hardworking staff, and stop promoting through favoritism, but experience and skill set and a high ethical standard instead. CA has a very poor structure that causes burn out, and distrust of leadership.
