I have been working at MicroStrategy as a contractor

MicroStrategy has a great product. Huge companies trust us to deliver great enterprise solutions. Most of the people employed are smart, wonderful people that are great to work with.

The upper and mid-level management are overpaid and over-valued. Reorganizations are cutting the muscle and leaving the fat, taking away from departments and teams that do the bulk of the good work. The management and executives are out of touch and weak: they don't stand up to the other high level executives. They do not fight for and protect their teams and departments for fear of angering the CEO. The CEO refers to his employees in inappropriate and derogatory terms and his time is better spent on his yacht than in the office.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Until the CEO steps down or the executives stand up for their interests, the company will continue to lose money and will not recover.
