The best thing is the people. Friendly atmosphere and a lot of company events. Good benefits. Plenty of overtime if you wanted.
Plenty of overtime you don't want. Dated machines that fail constantly, causing unreasonable seven day a week, mandatory over time for several weeks at a time. No recognition for hard work. Forced to use vacation during holiday shutdowns. Congratulated at company meeting for meeting quarterly and yearly goals met and then having our annual raises put off for year and a half while management received bonuses. A lot of politics. If you know someone or related to management, you move up. If you don't, it doesn't matter how much more productive you are. (Example: three promotions in five years for one managers family member). I've seen some of the most unproductive, do nothing, sit around talking people, get promoted.
