I worked at Microsoft full-time for more than a year

Worked at a start-up that got acquired by MSFT and stayed a little more then a year after the acquisition completed. All the hype about work/life balance, perks, etc. are true at MSFT. They generally treat their employees very well and have a lot of structure in place for employees to work their way up the ladder. It's a very comfortable place to be.

If you're used to the start-up world, MSFT probably isn't the place for you. It's not that fast-paced in anything (day to day work, project deadlines, meetings, promotions, etc.) It can get boring a little boring since you're 1 in 90k+ employees and if you're someone who wants to see an immediate impact from your work, you probably won't see it here for quite awhile.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I know the company is trying to move in a different direction and develop in a faster environment, keep it up and good luck!
