    Pros

For an assistant manager, they pay one of the best hourly rates in all of retail. The money is definitely fantastic, despite how much you were making at your last job. The company does really care about the customer. Employees have the right to pretty much do ANYTHING they think is right for the customer, even if that means just giving away free stuff. The company truly cares about you. Corporate and upper management makes an effort to talk to their employees and visit their stores, more so than in most other retail stores. There is a good work/life balance. And they have one of the best benefit packages around, especially for retail. 401K match, stock options, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, gym membership reimbursement, good major medical, dental, and vision insurance, etc.

    Cons

They are a company that is trying to break into the retail industry and is really slow growing. They are nowhere near close to doing the kind of business that their competitor Apple stores do. Most of their stores are dead. The product doesn't sell and it's becoming overpriced. A lot of the employees were hired last minute and are DEFINITELY not qualified to be doing the jobs they're doing. Managers were promoted or hired with little to no prior management or leadership experience. Employees are put in temporary locations and could be forced to relocate or be laid off if they cannot relocate. Really mundane and boring job after awhile. Also, the employee discount is HORRIBLE. Only 10% off.

    Advice to Management

You cannot expect employees to keep working in these temporary conditions forever. You are going to lose a lot of strong players by not giving anyone confirmation that they are going to have a job for the long term or that more permanent stores are going to open up, Hire some people that have experience in different locations. Some of the areas you are choosing to build stores are a COMPLETE JOKE. Even the sales associates laugh at some of the decisions made by corporate. Take more time. Invest more money into permanent stores in money making places.
