I worked at Ministry Health Care full-time (more than 10 years)

Good work life balance if your aren't providing direct patient care. When I first stared before departments were merged into a corporate model it was the best job and leadership I ever had.

Low pay, terrible leadership. A large amount of positions in our department were eliminated. Only those who came from the system we merged with didn't have to reapply. Went from cutting edge to 60's style department model. terrible opportunity for growth. No one in management ever would take personal ownership of matters unless it made them look good. They also took credit for things they had no part in. Extremely hostile environment. Don't ever question those above you or you are threatened with unemployment.
