I have been working at Montclair State part-time (More than 5 years)

The people are really nice, and the other student GAs are kind, smart, and easy to get along with. You get to do lots of different types of work (research, journal writing, etc.), and most of the professors are reasonable about what they want. Good campus atmosphere.

There is a lot of inconsistency in what is expected from each GA or doctoral assistant - some work really, really hard, and some hardly at all. It all depends on who you are assigned to.

    Advice to Management

Most GAs and Doc Assistants in CEHS are happy to be there, and grateful for their work. Some professors take advantage of the assistants, especially the doc fellows who feel like they can't refuse work although it is way beyond their required hours or responsibilities. In general, Montclair is a wonderful place to work and to be a part of.
