    Pros

It is a small mid-sized company and that offers you a wealth of opportunities. First, their is interesting clients and interesting work. A good number of the projects are strategic in nature and give you an opportunity to work on complex challenges. Second, you are surrounded by a good group of people. The hiring standards are fairly high at MorganFranklin whether you just out of school or or an experienced hire. I am constantly challenged by my colleagues to do more or better work. Third, it is a good work-life balance. At times, you work long hours to meet a deadline, but I think most of us work a 40-45 hour week on average. There are some that consistently work more, but that is either a rare occurrence or by choice. They also have family events (picnics) and adult events (holiday party, happy hour) that bring everyone together outside of the office. Fourth, there is opportunity to help grow and build a company if you are interested in it. As a small mid -sized firm, there are opportunities to help with additional work like crafting a service offering, developing thought leadership, helping with internal initiatives, working on business development activities and more. At bigger firms, you would be told to come in and do your job, here you can get involved in more - if you want to. Finally, I personally trust the leaders of the firm. They work hard to communicate, make tough, but fair decisions when necessary and are approachable. They seem to care about me and put a lot of effort into all hands meetings, quarterly meetings, breakfast/lunch 1:1s, employee newsletters and briefings and other mechanisms to communicate. At the end of the day, MorganFranklin is what you make it to be and they give you a lot of opportunity. If you like being part of a growing small mid-sized firm and what it offers (and also sometimes the frustration of processes/tools not being as mature as a big consultancy), then it is a place to consider. They also give a lot back to the community through a wide array of charitable foundations (including their own golf tournament). I am personally very proud to be a part of this firm and to tell people where I work.

    Cons

An area where MorganFranklin needs to improve is training. Training currently is ad-hoc or as needed, but this is one area that impacts people on a personal level in terms of their professional growth. An investment in process and follow-through is needed in this area. To managements credit, they have recognized this and are taking steps to improve in this area.

    Advice to Management

Follow-through on training, communicate the plan and explain the rationale behind the decision. Keep investing in the firm and your team and it will pay you back 10 fold.
